My Top 5 Girl’s Skirt Round-Up

Since my girl is so tall and thin finding pants for her is always a challenge. She has such a tiny waist and she hates for things to be bunched up around her waist so the adjustable waist pants really don’t work. Last year she mainly wore leggings or yoga pants. I want her to have a little more style this fall and winter so I am planning on making skirts that she can pair with leggings or tights. Here are my 5 favorite skirt tutorials.

1.

http://www.alidamakes.com/2013/07/spooktacular-cat-skirt.html This glow in the dark cat skirt from Alida Makes is the cat’s meow. Miss G has been dying for me to make her, her very own glow in the dark skirt.

2.

http://www.danamadeit.com/2008/07/tutorial-the-market-skirt.html I made this cute Market skirt from Dana Made It for Miss G when she was younger and I loved it. It comes together so easy and looks really great. I am ready to try it in some fall colors and to pair it with a cute sweater.

3.

http://houseonhillroad.typepad.com/photos/twirly_skirt/ I just love the look of the twirly skirt from the House On Hill Road. It looks like so much fun to wear and the tutorial looks nice and simple. I can’t wait to stitch up a few of these.

4.

http://atsecondstreet.blogspot.com/2010/01/valentines-attire.html?m=1 This skirt from At Second Street is adorable. I love the classic look of it and can’t wait to try my hand at this one.

5.

http://fairyfacedesigns.blogspot.com/2012/03/sew-get-started-easy-girls-skirt.html I love that this tutorial from Fairy Face Designs is so versatile. I have been scanning the clearance racks for shirts so I can make the knit version of this skirt. I also love the stripped design on the 1st skirt. It is the perfect project to use up all those small amounts of fabric I am always grabbing out of the selvedge bin at Hobby Lobby.
