Whew! Today I am thankful to blogging friends that give you a gentle reminder that you are about to be late for the party.
…and this is a party that I didn’t want to miss.
The Summer Surprise is going to be my summer go-to dress/shirt/tunic for Miss G. It is quick and such a lovely little top. It is so quick that I stitched up this black sparkly number in the morning before Miss G needed to present her bug report. Apparently her butterfly costume would not be complete without a SPARKLY BLACK shirt.
What is the surprise you ask? Well it is this sweet little bow in the back of the shirt. Perfect for that small scrap of fabric you just couldn’t throw out.
My favorite thing about these patterns are the fact that they offer a slim option. Since Miss G is so slender I have to alter almost every pattern for her. I can’t say how nice it is to just print and cut out a pattern without having to worry about combining 2 sizes.
I am also planning on upcycling a few Disney t-shirts for our trip to Disney in the early fall, because Disney before October = HOTTTT and these will be so cute all Disney-fied.
